3 Common Seasonal Allergies in Pets and How to Manage Them in PA

Langhorne and the surrounding Bucks County area caters to many different interests, especially for nature lovers. If you’re looking for new and exciting opportunities to enjoy with your pet this summer, we are happy to steer you towards the best pet-friendly parks and trails right in our very own backyard.
Pick Your Pleasure
Before you head out, we offer the following gentle reminders aimed at promoting general pet safety this summer, including:
- Be sure your pet is up to date on all core vaccinations and current with the flea, tick, and heartworm preventive medications.
- If your contact information connected to their microchip has changed, we are happy to help you connect with the microchip’s manufacturer. Keeping this current can lead to swift reunions after accidental separation.
- If their ID tags are worn or hard to read, this is a great time to get new ones. Invest in a new personalized collar and/or leash. Be sure to keep your pet on leash and in a heel position when in a new place.
- If you’re doing anything on or near the water, purchase a good quality pet life jacket.
- Always have a fully-stocked pet first-aid kit (in the car or in your backpack) to help handle minor pet injuries.
- While traveling with your dog in the car, either kennel them in the back or buckle them with a pet-specific seatbelt.
